What is mouse jitter?

Jitter is unwanted cursor shake — the cursor straying from a straight path during fast movement, usually from sensor noise, a bad surface, or spin-out at high speed.

How does this jitter test work?

You drag a fast straight line on the canvas. We fit an ideal line between your start and end points and measure how far each tracked point deviates from it.

Does jitter affect my aim?

Yes. Even small deviations can throw off flick shots and tracking in competitive games. A good sensor on a proper pad should track nearly perfectly straight.

What causes jitter?: Sensor noise, a reflective or dirty surface, a failing USB port, or spin-out when you move faster than the sensor's max tracking speed.
